Due to changing process technologies & operations speed mist formation is common at all shop floors. However   mist generation have both environmental and health implications. More than 90 % coolants are made up of mineral oils & to reduce   the cost most manufacturers use low cost oils.

Inhaling cutting fluid mists may pose health risks to workers in the machining environment. The mist can contain various components from the cutting oil, including additives, emulsifiers, and metal particles. Long-term exposure to these mists can lead to respiratory issues and skin irritations.
